(Omaha, NE) -- After being closed for hours through the morning commute, a portion of the Interstate near downtown Omaha re-opens as Omaha Police investigate a fatal crash that happened during a police pursuit.
No officers were hurt.
Investigators say a woman died at a hospital after a pick -up she was in crashed on southbound I-480 at the I-80 interchange.
Omaha Police say the vehicle was being pursued by officers at the time of the crash, which happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Omaha Police pursued the vehicle and tried to stop it in connection with a earlier "shots fired" 911 call in Council Bluffs.
Investigators say a teen driver and another person in the pickup have been taken into custody for questioning.
