Moline Begins Work On Improved Bike Access To The Riverfront

(Moline, IL) -- Construction on a project to improve access to the riverfront begins today in Moline.

Crews will convert 19th Street from River Drive to 7th Avenue to three lanes, and add a bike path.

The goal is to improve the connection between the the Mississippi River bike path and the Rock River bike path.

The 3.1-million dollar project funded by the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program should be done in November.
