(Ames, IA) -- Crews in Ames are working to fix a large water main break this morning.
The Ames Police Department is asking people to avoid the city parking lots on the south side of Main Street, between Duff Avenue and Kellogg Avenue.
The 100 and 200 blocks of the south side of Main Street are being affected by the water main break.
Crews are working to shut off the water.
No estimate has been provided on how long it will take for the issue to be fixed.
