Omaha Metro Resident Credited With Tackling Parade Shooting Suspect

Paul Contreras is being credited with capturing a possible suspect in connection with the fatal mass shooting at the Chiefs championship parade and rally.

In the confusion of thousands of people running in the area of Kansas City Union Station, Contreras says he reacted to someone saying, "stop that guy," and tackled a person, who was then taken into custody by Kansas City, Missouri Police.

Contreras says after the tackle, a gun fell to the ground.

He says another person helped hold the suspect down until police moved in.
