Crews Investigating Davenport Fire That Left One Person Dead

(Davenport, IA) -- Fire crews are investigating a Davenport mobile home fire that left one person dead.

The Davenport Fire Department was called to the 3700 block of W. Locust Street around 2:18 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a structure fire after a mail carrier noticed smoke coming from a mobile home.

Upon arrival, crews saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the front portion of the mobile home located at Ted's Mobile Home and RV Park.

The fire was able to be extinguished in about 10 minutes.

Crews searched the home after and discovered a deceased individual inside.

The person's identity has not been revealed yet.
