Omaha Police Respond After Gas Station Shooting Saturday

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Police responded to a fatal shooting at a Casey's gas station near 72nd and Grover Saturday afternoon. Witnesses say a suspect was seen leaving the area on foot. A manhunt was soon underway and an officer located a suspect shortly afterwards. According to Omaha Police, 30-year-old Kriss Flores died at a hospital shortly after the shooting. Two other victims were treated for injuries and are expected to survive.

Police have arrested a 16-year-old in connection to the case, who faces several charges, including first degree murder, two counts of 2nd degree assault, three counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of a weapon - gun by a prohibited person and possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18.

46-year-old Mario Amaya-Castillo of Omaha was arrested as an accessory in the case, and faces charges including accessory to a felony and tampering with physical evidence.
