MidAmerican Working To Put Four Transmission Line Projects In Quad Cities

(Davenport, IA) -- MidAmerican Energy is implementing four transmission line projects in the Quad Cities.

Crews began work Thursday with replacing the ball markers on the transmission line that spans the Mississippi River between Davenport and the Rock Island Arsenal.

Today, crews began replacing the ball markers on the transmission line crossing the Mississippi River between Buffalo and Andalusia.

Beginning Saturday, January 20th, crews will replace the overhead transmission lines and power line markers over the Mississippi River at Campbell's Island between East Moline and Riverdale.

Thursday, January 25, crews are expected to begin the fourth project of replacing transmission towers at the Interstate-280 and Iowa Highway 22 interchange.

Roads are not expected to close or be affected.
