(Des Moines, IA) -- Former Des Moines Mayor John "Pat" Dorrian dies at 83-years-old.
Dorrian's obituary from the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory says he passed away Monday, January 15th, at MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center, with his.
Dorrian served eight years as Mayor beginning in 1987, and led the city through the 1993 Iowa floods.
His daughter says he had been battling health issues over the past few years.
Dorrian was 83 years old.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 21, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale.
