Tense Moments For Northeast Nebraska DWI Suspect

Stanton County Sheriff's Deputies may have saved a man's life by pulling him from a wrecked car in the cold and snow earlier this week, though he now faces a drunk driving charge .

A Sheriff’s Deputy discovered a vehicle that had just rolled off Highway 24 on the west edge of Stanton, Nebraska.

They say 38 -year- old driver Brandon Kluender from Stanton was found unconscious before Deputies pulled him from the car.

Investigators say Kluender was treated at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office says Kluender was arrested for D-W-I and later provided a breath sample that was more than twice the legal limit. He was booked for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated-3rd offense and later released after posting a cash bond.

Investigators say Kluender's vehicle left the roadway and rolled at least twice, coming to rest on its wheels in the deep snow.

Seatbelts were in use along with airbag deployment.
