(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- No humans were hurt after a house fire in Cedar Rapids Wednesday, but a cat was killed.

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department says it received reports of the fire around 10:15am Wednesday at a house in the 1600 block of 48th Street NE. Firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out, and investigators say no one was home when the fire started. One cat died in the fire, and two others were evacuated in unknown condition.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, though the preliminary investigation suggests unattended cooking was likely the cause.
