(Springfield, IL) -- E-cigarettes will soon be banned from use in public indoor spaces in Illinois.

A new state law adds vaping devices to the Smoke-Free Illinois Act, which banned smoking in most public spaces in the state in 2008.

The new restriction goes into effect on Monday.
