Iowa City Woman Arrested For Setting Ex-Boyfriend's Couch On Fire

(Iowa City, IA) -- A woman has been arrested for setting her ex-boyfriend's apartment couch on fire.

21-year-old Victoria Lea is facing a first-degree arson charge.

Iowa City Police and Fire responded to an apartment building in the 200 block South Dubuque Street at around 1:30 a.m. December 26th.

Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the second floor and that the door was barricaded shut with a chair and table.

Crews found a couch on fire, lighter fluid by the side of the couch, and food on the ground and walls inside the apartment.

The fire was extinguished and Lea was found alone inside the apartment.
