Second Person Dies From Omaha Area Traffic Crash Injuries

The investigation continues as a second person dies from injuries suffered in a traffic crash in the southwest part of the Omaha Metro involving a Gretna rescue squad.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says 17-year-old Seth Feyerherm was critically injured in last Thursday's crash near 204th and Harrison Streets and has passed away from his injuries.

Investigators say 72-year-old Debra Brookhouser of Gretna, a patient in the squad, also died in the crash.

Gretna Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief, 62-year-old Rodney Buethe, the driver of the ambulance, had minor injuries, but was not transported to a hospital.

Gretna Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief, 42-year-old Nicholas Pierce, was taken to an Omaha hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
