Man Facing Charges Of Assault And Damages At Christmas Party

(Davenport, IA) -- A Davenport man is facing charges of assault and damages at a Christmas Party.

Christmas day at around 9:00 p.m., police responded to reports of an SUV causing damage at home on Starr Pass in Asbury.

Upon arrival, crews discovered tire tracks in the home's yard that are consistent with a vehicle doing donuts.

Investigators found 52-year-old Duc Van Nguyen reportedly got into a fight at the party.

When asked to leave, he began performing donuts with his car in the front yard causing $1,500 worth of damage.

Nguyen then damaged another yard causing $1,500 in damage, crashed into two parked cars totaling $6,000 in damage, and also hitting a fire hydrant causing $8,000 in damages.

The total damage from the incident is $17,000.

He is facing several charges.
