Police Investigate "Swatting" Incident in Ashland

(Ashland, NE) -- Police in Ashland, Nebraska are investigating after a swatting incident early Saturday. The Ashland Police Department says in a release they were called to a house for a report of a "violent critical incident" just before 6 a.m. Police arrived and found that all of the family members were okay and were later able to confirm that the call was a false report. They are currently trying to locate the caller and find out where the call originated from.

Police in Ashland were also assisted by members of the Saunders County Sheriff's Office.
