Northern Iowa Man Convicted of First Degree Murder

(Grundy County, IA) -- A northern Iowa man is found guilty of first-degree murder.

Kevin Halladey was convicted of killing his girlfriend, Chrissy Jeys in December of 2021. Investigators say an autopsy showed Jeys died of blunt force trauma at her home in Reinbeck.

The mandatory sentence for a first-degree murder conviction in Iowa is life in prison.
