(Moline, IL) -- The Quad Cities International Airport adopts the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower.
The project prepares TSA Officers and Public Safety Airline Agents to help people with hidden disabilities such as dyslexia, hearing loss, trouble speaking, epilepsy, and much more.
The airport says there will be a Sunflower decal located at each entrance, and workers will wear a sunflower pin to indicate their support for people with hidden disabilities.
Passengers can also choose to wear a Sunflower identifier that will let airport staff know they may need additional assistance or time.
The Quad Cities Airport implemented the project in October.
All TSA Officers and Public Safety Airline Agents must participate in a training webinar led by a Sunflower Project representative.
It was created in the United Kingdom back in 2016.
