Omaha Fire Ruled Accidental In Nature

Investigators say an early Tuesday morning fire in a southeast Omaha house under renovation was accidentally caused.

They say there were no injuries in the fire just after two a.m. near 11th and Arbor Streets, but damage is estimated at 55-thousand dollars.

Crews fought the fire for 40 minutes after it spread into the roof area.

The home was being renovated at the time of the fire, and the fire was determined to be caused by oil-soaked rags, placed into a box overnight.
