Berkshire Hathaway Vice-Chair Charlie Munger Remembered

Remembrances and memorials come in for a main character in the Omaha-based Berkshire Hathaway story.

The company's Vice -Chairman, Charlie Munger, has passed away at a California hospital at the age of 99.

Munger, who was an Omaha native, started working alongside fellow Omahan Warren Buffett to build Berkshire Hathaway through its investment strategies and acquisitions of companies including Dairy Queen, and Geico, plus legendary Omaha businesses Nebraska Furniture Mart and Borsheims.

Along with Buffett, Munger had become a huge part of the annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholders' meeting extravaganza in Omaha every Spring, especially their question -and- answer sessions during the Saturday portion of the meeting.
