Drought conditions largely unchanged in Nebraska

(Lincoln, NE) -- More than 40-percent of Nebraska is experiencing drought or abnormally dry conditions.

The U.S. Drought Monitor Map is mostly unchanged from last week with abnormally dry conditions developing in Frontier, Hayes, and Lincoln counties.

East central parts of the state are seeing the worst conditions, with exceptional drought in 13 counties, affecting cities like Grand Island, Seward, and York.

Lincoln and Omaha are both in severe drought.

Northern and western parts of Nebraska are largely free from drought.
