The public opening of the new Sarpy County Correctional Center is canceled.
Events were scheduled for later this week.
The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners and Sarpy County Department of Corrections decided to cancel the dedication ceremony and public tours of the center after the death of an inmate last week.
They say county resources have been focused on the investigation and supporting those involved.
The Department of Corrections transfer of operations to the new facility remains on schedule.
