39 Dogs Rescued In Tipton, Iowa

(Tipton, IA) -- A little less than four dozen dogs are recovering at the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office after being rescued at Tipton Iowa, on Thursday.

The sheriff’s office searched a dog rescue kennel in the 1700 Block of Highway 130 after receiving complaints of dog neglect.

They found the facility to have unsafe living conditions.

Dirty drinking water, feces and urine all over the floor, and hot temperatures were the living environment for the dogs.

75-year-old Linda Boots, the owner of "Just Dogs Rescue", is charged with 31 counts of animal neglect with no injury and eight counts of animal neglect with injury.

The Animal Rescue League of Iowa and the Last Hope Animal Rescue are helping the dogs find new homes.
