Moline Officers Training Near Downtown

(Moline, IL) -- The Moline Police Department took time on Wednesday to train officers for certain situations..

They went through scenarios such as an active shooter and simulated explosive devices.

The department says they wanted to test how the officers would respond under tough conditions to prepare for real-life.

Kicking off a bit after at 7 a.m. a training call of an active shooter led officers near the BridgePointe property near 6th Street and River Drive.

The Quad City Bomb Squad joined in for the simulated explosive device scenario.

Moline police also say they want to connect with other nearby departments to have a city-wide response training camp.
