(Fairfield, IA) -- An Iowa lawmaker is being sued by his daughter.

Filed in Jefferson County on July 5 by Korynn Dickey, her mother and adoptive father, the lawsuit says Senator Adrian Dickey, R-Jefferson gifted Korynn a car with "no strings attached" in 2020 but forged Korynn's signature to put a lien on her car without her knowledge.

In May 2023, a crash totaled the vehicle. The lawsuit says Korynn was unable to collect money on her insurance policy due to the lien.

Adrian Dickey denies his daughter was unaware of the lien and is asking the court dismiss the lawsuit.

A hearing is scheduled for August 28.

The Jefferson County senator is also due in court in Sac County on October 31 for interfering with law enforcement during RAGBRAI.
