Worst Drought Conditions Getting Closer To Omaha

(Omaha, NE) -- Some of the worst drought conditions possible are creeping into the Omaha area. The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows exceptional drought is now on the far western edge of Douglas and Sarpy Counties. Right now Omaha is still seeing extreme drought, the second-worst drought category. Nearly all of Nebraska along and east of Highway 183 is seeing at least severe drought, the third-worst category. Drought conditions are improving in western Nebraska.
