Des Moines Area Hosting July 4th Parades, Fireworks Shows

(West Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines area's getting ready for July 4th events.

The Des Moines Symphony's Yankee Doodle Pops Concert is Monday night, July 3rd near the Iowa Capitol.

The West Des Moines July 4th parade will be Monday at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks start at dusk Tuesday night, on the City/School Campus on Mills Civic Parkway.

The Urbandale July 4th parade is Tuesday morning, starting at 10 o'clock. Fireworks start around 10 o'clock at night.

Waukee's parade Tuesday morning starts at 10:30. Fireworks will start at dusk.

Altoona's July 4th parade is Tuesday morning starting at 10 a.m.

Pleasant Hill's parade starts at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday

Grimes will hold fireworks at the sports complex Tuesday evening

Norwalk's parade is July 4th starting at 10 a.m. Fireworks at dusk

Windsor Heights will have a fireworks show at Colby Park the evening of July 4th.

Other large fireworks shows will be at the Iowa Cubs game, Adventureland, and Prairie Meadows in Altoona.
