(Rock Island Arsenal, Il) -- The Rock Island Arsenal Museum is set to reopen this week after being closed for more than three years.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held when the museum reopens on June 29th.

The Rock Island Arsenal Museum originally opened on July 4th, 1905, and is the second oldest U.S. Army museum.

The museum was scheduled to close for renovations in March 2021 but closed a year earlier because of the pandemic.
