(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa State Treasurer Roby Smith is in the midst of an auction, selling contents from abandoned safe deposit boxes.
Some of the items have been held for over 10 years.
The auction is being hosted by Lone Star Auctioneers, and continues through Wednesday, June 14.
Proceeds from the auction stay in the Great Iowa Treasure Hunt for the rightful owners to claim.
