Smoke Is Causing Hazy Skies Across Much Of Iowa Today

(Des Moines, IA) -- Canadian wildfires are making our skies hazy again today.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Roger Vahalek says "We have a combination of more moisture and also as you may have noticed, the skies are still somewhat milky due to the smoke from some of the forest fires working its way down from Canada, kind of backing in toward Iowa from Wisconsin and the Great Lakes areas."

The Environmental Protection Agency Air Quality map puts Iowa air quality as moderate, not considered dangerous.
