Illinois Residents Get A Piece Of Google's Class-Action Settlement

(Springfield, IL) -- Some Illinois residents are getting a piece of Google's $100 million class-action settlement.

Google was accused of violating state privacy law and the Biometric Information Privacy Act by using a face regrouping tool in Google Photos.

Illinoisans who filed a claim are getting about $95 each.

Those appearing in a photo on the app from May 1st, 2015 to April 25th, 2022 were qualified for the payment.
