(Springfield, IL) -- Illinois is getting nearly $3 million from a nationwide settlement.

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul says Illinois and 41 other states negotiated a payout of $102 million with Indivior.

The pharmaceutical company makes Suboxone, a prescription drug that is used to treat opioid addiction.

The coalition of states filed a complaint against Indivior in 2016 over allegations the company illegally switched the Suboxone market from tablets to film while trying to eliminate the market for tablets to maintain its drug monopoly.
