(Davenport, IA) -- The City of Davenport provides financial aid for victims and businesses displaced after the partial apartment building collapsed downtown.

The city says $6,000 will be available per household living in the collapsed building, $1,000 per displaced household in adjacent buildings, $25,000 per business in the collapsed building, and $5,000 per displaced business in adjacent buildings.

The city council is working to ratify the funding and hopes to distribute it by Sunday.

To apply for the city funds, there will be a Red Cross event on June 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the downtown Davenport YMCA.
