(Undated) -- Iowan residents will soon be able to enjoy a weekend of free fishing without having to buy a license.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources annual free fishing weekend will take place from June 2nd through the 4th.
While a license isn’t needed during that time, all other fishing regulations will remain in place.
The chief of the Iowa DNR’s Fisheries Bureau says this can be a great opportunity to learn how to fish, or introduce a friend to fishing.
