Bellevue robbery suspect dies after suffering medical emergency

(Bellevue, NE) -- A Bellevue robbery suspect dies after suffering a medical emergency.

Bellevue Police say just after 7:15 Tuesday morning, officers were called to the scene of a robbery at a home in the area of Childs Road and Camp Brewster Road. BPD says once on the scene, officers learned that one suspect had suffered a medical emergency and was lying on the ground. Investigators say officers located the suspect, 36 year old Joshua McCammond of Omaha, and rendered aid until Bellevue Medical personnel responded.

Police say McCammond was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

BPD says McCammond's death is not being investigated as an in-custody death. The other suspect is still at-large at this time. It is not believed that there is any danger to the public. The investigation is on-going investigation and police say no further details will be released at this time.
