Man wanted in Blair murder is arrested after four day manhunt

(Omaha, NE) -- A four day manhunt is over after the suspect in a fatal shooting in Blair is arrested.

On Monday, 22 year old Elijah Logan turned himself in to the Metro Fugitive Task Force near 24th and Camden in Omaha. U.S. Marshals had been searching for Logan since Friday after investigators say he broke into a Blair home and shot and killed 34-year-old Jordan Ely. Ely's sister Sam, who is the mother of Logan's child, was also injured in the the shooting. Her injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Ely's family say Jordan died a hero, who was protecting his sister and nephew when he was shot and killed. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral expenses.

Logan is currently charged with first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, but the Washington County Attorney's office is expected to amend the charges.
