(Undated) -- Central Iowa businessman Dennis Albaugh has three horses in Saturday's Kentucky Derby. Albaugh Family Stables of Ankeny will be cheering on Angel of Empire, Jace's Road, and late entry Cyclone Mischief in the 149th running of the Kentucky Derby.

Agel of Empire (14) has 5-1 odds and was projected to place 3rd in the race as of early this week. The horse was the least expensive of several colts the stables purchased two years ago, but the $70,000 investment has more than paid off after the horse won the Arkansas Derby.

The odds for Jace's Road (12) are 37-1, and 45-1 for Cyclone Mischief (21).

Albaugh says he likes the way Angel of Empire closes a race, and notes the entire race is exciting but it's especially exciting after the 4th turn.

Post time tomorrow (Saturday) is just before 6 p.m. Iowa time. The race airs on NBC.
