Missing Omaha prison inmate is found in Las Vegas

(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha prison inmate who went missing in January is located in Las Vegas.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says Troy Hollins was arrested last week by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. NDCS says Hollins went missing on January 15, 2023, when he removed his electronic monitor near the Community Corrections Center – Omaha. He started his sentence on December 22, 2015. Hollins was sentenced to 15 to 20 years for attempted robbery out of Douglas County.

CCC-O is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
