Crews Respond to Two House Fires Thursday

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha firefighters responded to two house fires Thursday afternoon. The first was in the 12,000 block of Corby Street at a single family home. Firefighters had it under control within five minutes. Just over two hours later, crews responded to a house fire in the 3,000 block of Read Street. No one was injured in either fire. Both are still under investigation according to the Omaha Fire Department.

The fire on Corby Street caused approximately $135,000 in damage, the fire on Read Street roughly $65,000.
