Iowa Reports Salmonella Illness Tied To Gold Medal Flour

(Undated) -- An outbreak of Salmonella has prompted a national recall of Gold Medal flour. General Mills has recalled bleached and unbleached bags of flour with better if used dates of March 27th, 2024 and March 28, 2024. So far 13 people have become ill, three have been hospitalized. The CDC reports the number of people sick is likely higher than reported and may not be limited to just 12 states.

States reporting illnesses include: California, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, and Virginia.
