Triple A reports the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Iowa is $3.51 a gallon, down 1 cent from this time last week. That is still 33 cents higher from this time last month. Prices for a gallon of regular unleaded vary regionally across the state:
- Des Moines: $3.50
- Ames: $3.58
- Cedar Rapids: $3.50
- Iowa City: $3.53
- Dubuque: $3.59
- Quad Cities (Iowa side): $3.45
- Quad Cities (Illinois side): $3.82
- Waterloo/Cedar Falls: $3.55
- Council Bluffs: $3.51
- Sioux City: $3.52
The average price for regular unleaded nationally is $3.66 a gallon.
