(Omaha, NE) -- Starting May 3, Omaha residents will have to pay a fee to dispose of latex paint.
Wasteline Omaha says household hazardous waste facility UnderTheSink (UTS) will begin charging $1 per container quart size and up. Payments will only be accepted by credit or debit card.
The fee only applies to latex (water-based) paint.
Wasteline Omaha says this is the most common item dropped off at UTS. Last year, they received 28,000 liquid gallons of latex paint.
