(Burlington, IA) -- The city of Burlington is teaming up with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to help farms improve water quality and help the city meet state goals.

Burlington is the eighth city in Iowa to sign an agreement.

Ames, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Muscatine, Storm Lake, Forest City, and Mason City all have similar agreements with the DNR.

The plan would help the city invest in conservation and farming practices in local watersheds.
