Crews Respond to Multiple Fires Saturday

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha firefighters responded to two fires Saturday morning. The first was a house fire in the 5000 block of P Street, according to the Omaha Fire Department. No injuries were reported. It resulted in an estimated $150,000 in damage. The cause is still under investigation.

Crews later responded to a fire at a vacant two-story structure in the 1500 block of N 17th Street. The building was declared a total loss. According to a press release, a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree arson in connection to that fire.
