(Moline, IL) -- A bomb threat to a Moline elementary school is being connected to the "After School Satan Club".

An email referencing a bomb in Jane Addams Elementary School and expressing frustration over the presence of the After School Satan Club on Thursday.

The email was sent to various Moline Schools email addresses with a few locations in Virginia.

The Moline Police Department investigated the elementary school but found no evidence of a bomb.

Moline Police Chief Darren Gault says schools across the country have been targeted in the past few weeks with the After School Satan Club being a common connection.

Gault says the club is a shock tactic in response to religious clubs in schools.

The After School Satan Club was first offered at Jane Addams last year.

Gault says the emails have been traced to a source that's not in the U.S., and that the Moline Police Department is working with the Illinois Statewide Terrorism Information Center and the FBI.
