Arizona Man Sentenced for Hoax Threats in 2021

(Omaha, NE) -- An Arizona man was sentenced in federal court Friday for transmitting threats to blow up multiple locations in Omaha. 42-year-old Andrew Isaac Abrams of Tucson faces 18 months in prison. Abrams contacted multiple Omaha locations in May of 2021 and made threats that he had planted explosives. Abrams also contacted Central High School, saying there would be bombs and shooters at four different metro schools. The threats were discovered to be a hoax. After being released, Abrams will serve three years of supervised release. There is no probation in the federal system.
