All Metropolitan Community College locations are closed Thursday. All classes and activities are cancelled.
The UNO campus is closed Thursday.
Omaha Library closed Thursday;
All Douglas County Health Department offices will be closed Thursday due to the storm. That includes the main office at 1111 South 41st Street, Vital Statistics at the Douglas/Omaha Civic Center, and all WIC offices.
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners office is also closed Thursday.
U.S. District Court – Nebraska: The bankruptcy and district courts are closed Thursday.
The winter storm leads the City of Omaha to temporarily suspend solid waste collection. Trash pickup is cancelled for Thursday and Friday in the City of Omaha. Omaha Public Works says people who normally have their trash picked up on Thursday and Friday will be able to put out bagged or canned garbage along with their carts for collection next week.
