Arrest Made In Fatal Lincoln Memorial Day Weekend Crash

Lincoln Police say 18-year-old Kyvell Stark of Omaha turned himself in to law enforcement at the Lancaster County Jail facing two counts of Manslaughter and two counts of Driving Under the Influence with Serious Bodily Injury in connection with the May 29th double fatal crash on "O" Street.

Investigators say that night before Memorial Day, a Taurus driven by Stark was westbound on "O" when it hit a Corolla driven by Emily Siebenhor with Edith Hermosillo as a passenger.

The Siebenhor vehicle was eastbound on “O” St while turning northbound onto 52nd Street.

The front end of Stark's vehicle hit the passenger side of Ms. Siebenhor’s vehicle.

After the initial impact, both vehicles left the roadway and continued over to the north sidewalk west of the intersection area striking numerous bystanders who had gathered for an event where vehicles traveled along "O" Street over the holiday weekend.

The 20-year old Siebenhor and the 22-year-old Hermosillo both died from their injuries.

Twenty bystanders sought medical care, two of which remain hospitalized.

Lincoln Police Crash Investigators studied evidence, interviewed witnesses, and determined the circumstances that caused this collision.

They say electronic data collected from Stark’s vehicle showed it was traveling close to 90 mph moments before the collision.

Police say when officers arrived and contacted Stark, they suspected he was impaired due to possible drugs or alcohol.

It was determined Stark was under the influence of marijuana.
