John Deere Plans To Move Cab Assembly From Waterloo

(Waterloo, IA) -- John Deere is moving cab production operations from the Waterloo facility to Mexico. The move from the Tractor and Cab Assembly Operations plant in Waterloo is expected to be complete by 2024. KWWL reports the change includes all welding, assembly, and production of cabs. Deere says the newly available floor space could be used for new manufacturing production. The Waterloo John Deere plant employs about eleven-hundred workers.
