Modern Housing To Go Up On Vacant Omaha Lot

"Habitat for Humanity" ceremonially breaks ground on a project that will bring dozens of new residential units to Omaha replacing an eyesore that had become an illegal dumping ground.

The "Bluestem Prairie" development is near 52nd and Sorensen Parkway.

The 25-million-dollar development calls for 85 multi-generational units on the site, which was vacant for nearly 15 years, at one time the site of the Wintergreen Apartments.

"Habitat for Humanity" says the City of Omaha donated the land, and they hope to have the project completed by 2025.
