Two Men Arrested In Connection With Des Moines Bank Robberies

(Des Moines, IA) -- Two people are arrested in connection with recent bank robberies in Des Moines. Police say three banks have been robbed in the last three weeks. On January 26th a bank was robbed in the 100 block of University Avenue. On January 31st a bank was robbed in the 3400 block of Ingersoll Avenue. On February 12th a bank was robbed in the 700 block of 7th Street. Police say in each robbery the suspect claimed to have a weapon. Nineteen-year-old Luk Changkouth Dak and 20-year-old Augustino John Mneur were arrested in connection with the robberies. Dak is charged with three counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of conspiracy to commit a forcible felony. Mneur is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of conspiracy to commit a forcible felony.
